The Nile's Gift

The Nile's Gift was very important to the Egyptains because it gave them life. The Nile's Gift was the River. The Nile River brought life to Egypt. The River allowed them to thrive. The Rvier was so important to people in Greek named Herodotus. The Nile was the LARGEST River in the world. If it weren't for the Nile the Egyptains wouldn't have food or water. The water had runed though everything for people can get it. Egyptains were very thankful because of the Nile's gift the River gave them everything.

The Story of Gilgamesh

The Story Of Gilgamesh

The story of Gilgamesh takes place in a busy city on the flat Mesopotamia plain near the banks of the Euphrates’s river. King Gilgamesh his friend Enkidu, and Humbaba Are the main characters. In the beginning, Gilgamesh and Enkidu wanted to see the world and find adventure and find wood. Then when Gilgamesh and Enkidu are walking though the forest they see tees which are made from wood which they were looking for. In the end Gilgamesh and Enkidu found what they needed to find, they had found would they had to cut trees and chop them off to logs.

The message of this story is how to hunt and be adventures. I choose this topic because Gilgamesh and Enkidu wanted to find trees to chop them of for logs. Also, in the story. Another reason is because what they wanted to find and be was there goal and I think this is the message of the story to never give up.

I believe Gilgamesh is a hero because he had helped his city. Also, he had no fear, like he never had the nerve to this thing or that thing. In addition, he had to lead his people. Finally, he had brought items that can help the environment. In my opinion, Gilgamesh is a hero.

The Powerful People

The most important achievements of Mesopotamians are the Levees, Tools, Irrigation System, Writing, Art, Technology, and Laws. The Mesopotamians created levees to stop the water from fuddling. The tools were very important it helped them a lot, like an example is a plow, the plow helped the farmer’s plant crops easier. The irrigation system is mostly about the food and were did they keep it. The Mesopotamians developed created one of the greatest cultural advances in history, they developed Cuneiform. The art was to represent something to sow something important, it was a sign. Technology, wow that was hard to make because back then they didn’t have factories and stuff they had to do something else. The laws, the kings and Priests made the laws they were like the Government. These were important achievements of Mesopotamians.

The Mesopotamian invention that showed the most power was the levees. In my opinion, the levees were the most powerful because it saved water. The levees are helpful to the environment. Levees helped by not wasting water. Also it stopped the village from getting flash floods. Levees also helped on the irrigation system, by them allowing them to get water. It stopped the, dry outs by using the water however the water was usually dried put. Levees aren’t harmful there helpful. This is why I think levees are helpful.

Life in Mesopotamia

Hi, my name is Emily. I’m in Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia’s villages are located in a land of rolling hills and low plains. Mesopotamia has many problems like water supply, food shortage, and irrigation system.

The first problem I have is the water supply. One of the biggest problems we had was the uncontrolled, water supply. It was a waist of water that we would plant water and wash away the other ones. We needed a way to control the water so that we would have reliable water. Water was a waist!

The second problem I have is the food shortage. People mostly planted at one of these areas rolling foothills of the Zagros Mountains in Northern Mesopotamia. Foot-hills are a good place to farm. Conditions allowed the population in Mesopotamia to grow. Villages began to suffer from food shortages.

The third problem I have is the irrigation system. There were difficulties on building. Irrigation system provided enough water for Sumerian farmers that grow plenty of food. The irrigation system passed though many villages. Many villages carried water from the river to the fields. Farmers can no longer live apart, or in small groups

As you can see living in Mesopotamia is hard because of our water supply, food shortage, and the irrigation system. We had to build levees because of the water supply it was going to waist. The food shortage was a disaster because villages began to suffer because of it. Lastly the irrigation system is difficult because of the farmers, they need water, and food for themselves this is why Mesopotamia is a hard place to live in.
