Hi, my name is Emily. I’m in Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia’s villages are located in a land of rolling hills and low plains. Mesopotamia has many problems like water supply, food shortage, and irrigation system.
The first problem I have is the water supply. One of the biggest problems we had was the uncontrolled, water supply. It was a waist of water that we would plant water and wash away the other ones. We needed a way to control the water so that we would have reliable water. Water was a waist!
The second problem I have is the food shortage. People mostly planted at one of these areas rolling foothills of the Zagros Mountains in Northern Mesopotamia. Foot-hills are a good place to farm. Conditions allowed the population in Mesopotamia to grow. Villages began to suffer from food shortages.
The third problem I have is the irrigation system. There were difficulties on building. Irrigation system provided enough water for Sumerian farmers that grow plenty of food. The irrigation system passed though many villages. Many villages carried water from the river to the fields. Farmers can no longer live apart, or in small groups
As you can see living in Mesopotamia is hard because of our water supply, food shortage, and the irrigation system. We had to build levees because of the water supply it was going to waist. The food shortage was a disaster because villages began to suffer because of it. Lastly the irrigation system is difficult because of the farmers, they need water, and food for themselves this is why Mesopotamia is a hard place to live in.

Emily I liked the way you started off with your topic sentence. I also liked how you ordered the difficulties that you faced in Mesopotamian. What I found interesting was that how you really explained it with lot's of details so thumbs up. For example in the concluding paragraph you used the problems but you knew how to end your text.
ReplyDeleteTo address your first problem you could create levee walls to hold back water. To have water distributed to the fields you could create irrigation systems to keep crop production constant.

Mr. Garza
just put seeds on the grond and when the water is coming out it could make plants. thats what i think you should because if you do that you wont waist alot of water. also you can make a farm with all the plants you have. i think thats the best solution because if not you can go in a drout
